Pilates and PHI Insurance Reform Update
We’d like to inform our valued clients that from 1 April 2019 our Clinical Pilates service will be classified as Physio Exercise Classes.
This is due to recent Federal Government decisions that affect Private Health Insurance rebates for natural therapies. From 1 April 2019, Pilates will no longer be eligible for rebates.
You will still be able to claim rebates for Physio Exercise Classes as we continue to deliver these exercises within an evidenced-based and therapeutic framework, rather than purely for fitness.
Physiotherapists are the only providers of Pilates-informed exercises that can continue to claim rebates and we will be transitioning to the new name Physio Exercise Classes (PEC) in readiness for 1 April 2019.
You can still book into our classes the same way as before (now called PEC): view timetables here.
We will continue to update the brand name change over the coming weeks, but it is business as usual!
If you have any questions about this change, please let us know as we are happy to assist.
