Chrissy’s Story
I was working as a sports trainer for a senior soccer club whilst studying a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy. I loved watching and playing sport and was exposed to a variety of sporting injuries which guided my career pathway in the physiotherapy field.
My first role was working in a private practice. I treated patients with musculoskeletal and sports related injuries and I quickly developed an interest in the prevention, diagnosis and management of injuries, ultimately returning them to sport.
I was also exposed to orthopaedic physiotherapy, assisting patients with their rehabilitation post-orthopaedic surgery. This sparked my interest in orthopaedic surgery and I sought to further develop these skills within a hospital setting to assist with both pre and post-orthopaedic rehabilitation providing continual patient care.
I’m excited to commence work at The Physio Clinic as it enables me to work both in a private clinic and hospital setting.
Physiotherapy is a rewarding career pathway and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of a team focused on achieving optimal patient health outcomes.
