Hydrotherapy is a safe and effective form of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

In combination with “hands on” physiotherapy, it can be one of the most effective means of assisting arthritic problems.

    Several benefits of hydrotherapy include:

    • Relief of  joint pain from arthritis
    • Increase your balance and mobility
    • Strengthen your muscles and joints safely
    • Return to work and sport faster
    • Recover quicker from surgery

Your physiotherapist will gain a full history of your treating condition and perform a thorough examination to determine whether hydrotherapy will benefit you. Maybe you are just looking for another motivational form of exercise through the cold winter months so that you can stay fit and be warm whilst exercising.

    Features of hydrotherapy include:

    • Indoor 32?C heated pool of shallow depth
    • Experienced Aquatic Physiotherapist providing close supervision
    • Individual program and small group classes
    • Out of hours class times and packages available

The Physio Clinic at Prospect runs physiotherapist supervised hydrotherapy sessions twice a week at College Grove Rehabilitation Hospital on Lower North East Road. Each person has their own individualised program, which is adapted accordingly on each attendance. We also have, onsite gym and pilates classes, a massage therapist and podiatrist.

Our experienced Physiotherapists at The Physio Clinic are happy to help and answer any questions or concerns you have.
